Voice & STT
A full spoken conversation with the AI in a voice channel: it listens, transcribes what you say, thinks of a reply, and speaks it back — no typing involved.
How it works
Join a voice channel, start a session, and just talk:
vc listen
The moment you stop talking, your speech is transcribed and sent to the AI, which replies out loud in the channel. Only one person can be the active speaker at a time per server — everyone else is heard once it's their turn.
vc stop
Daily limits
Listening time is tracked per user and resets every 24 hours:
| Tier | Daily limit |
|---|---|
| Free (default) | 20 minutes/day |
| With your own key linked | 50 minutes/day |
| Each additional key | +30 minutes/day |
vc time
vc status
vc key
vc time checks what you have left, vc status shows full session detail, and vc key explains how to link your own key for a higher daily limit — submit it with vc key <your key> once you have one.
Choosing a voice
vc voice Karen
Changes the voice used when it speaks back to you. Options: Linda, Mary, John, Mike, Alice, Karen, Brian.
vc or vc help with no other argument prints this full command list plus your current daily limits, straight from Discord.
This page covers full two-way voice conversation (vc listen), whose voice names are the seven above. The AI Chat page's ai vc join is a different, one-way system — it makes the AI read its typed chat replies out loud without listening back, and picks from a separate six-name list (alloy, echo, fable, onyx, nova, shimmer). The two vc voice commands don't share a voice list, so don't mix them up.
