Autoresponder
Makes PixelMint reply on its own when someone says something specific in chat — no command, no prefix, it just watches messages as they arrive. This is the newest system in the bot, and it's entirely prefix-managed with no slash command.
A custom command only fires on an exact <prefix> trigger invocation. An autoresponder watches ordinary conversation and can match anywhere in a message, at the start or end, by wildcard, by regex, or on special conditions like "the bot got mentioned" or "the message is just a number." It also always runs last — after games, bank commands, custom commands, GIF/fun reactions, AI chat, and every NLP intent — so it can never accidentally override a real command.
The smallest one you can make
auto add good morning text: Morning! Hope you slept well.
Type that once. From then on, anyone who types "good morning" anywhere in a message gets that reply automatically. Everything else on this page is just more control over when it fires and what it says.
Match types
Set with type: before text:/template:. Defaults to contains if you leave it out.
| Type | Fires when... | Needs a trigger word? |
|---|---|---|
contains | The trigger appears anywhere in the message (default) | Yes |
exact | The whole message matches exactly | Yes |
startswith | The message begins with the trigger | Yes |
endswith | The message ends with the trigger | Yes |
wildcard | Trigger with * (anything) or ? (one character) as placeholders | Yes |
regex | A custom regex pattern matches the message | Yes (the pattern) |
mention | Someone @mentions the bot | No |
number | The message is just a number, nothing else | No |
By default, word-type matches only trigger on whole words — a trigger like cat won't fire on "category." Add word:no after the trigger if you want it to match inside other words too.
auto add type:exact gg text: GG!
auto add type:wildcard good * text: Love the energy!
auto add type:mention text: Hey! Need something?
auto add type:number text: You typed {trigger} — nice number.
The bot automatically refuses regex patterns with nested repeated groups (the kind that can hang a server) — if yours gets rejected, it can almost always be written more simply.
Replies: text, variants, embeds, reactions
Plain text
The most common case — a straight text reply.
Random variants
Separate options with | and one is picked at random each time.
Saved embed
Posts one of your embed builder templates instead — buttons and all. Build it there first.
Reactions
Adds reaction emoji instead of, or alongside, a reply. Up to 5, comma-separated, no spaces.
Placeholders
Drop these into any text reply and they're swapped in automatically:
| Placeholder | Becomes |
|---|---|
{user} | A ping of whoever triggered it |
{username} | Their display name, as plain text |
{server} | The server's name |
{membercount} | Current member count |
{channel} | The channel it fired in |
{trigger} | Whatever text actually matched |
Fine-tuning
Add any of these before text:/template:, in any order:
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
cooldown:<seconds> | Once it fires, stays quiet for everyone for that long — stops one trigger from spamming a busy channel |
role:<@role> | Only members with that role can set it off |
channel:<#channel> | Only fires in that one channel |
case:yes | Requires exact capitalization to match |
delete:yes | Deletes the message that triggered it |
priority:<number> | Lower numbers are checked first when multiple autoresponders could match the same message |
auto add spam cooldown:30 text: Slow down a little!
auto add support channel:#help text: A staffer will be with you.
Only one autoresponder fires per message. Priority number wins first if set; otherwise the more specific match type wins automatically — exact beats startswith/endswith, which beat wildcard/mention/number, which beat contains, which beats regex.
Managing what you've built
Shows every autoresponder in this server, numbered.
Full detail on one — by its number from the list, or by typing its trigger word.
Changes settings or the reply on an existing one, using the same option names as creating it. It can't change the trigger word or match type — delete and remake it for that.
Switches one off or back on without deleting it.
Deletes just that one. delete works as an alias.
Deletes every autoresponder in the server — asks for auto clear confirm as a second step first, so it never happens by accident.
Opens a full 9-page interactive guide with First/Back/Next/Last buttons — everything on this page, walked through with more examples, straight from Discord.
autoresponder works everywhere auto does, if you'd rather type the full word.
Creating, editing, removing, and clearing all require Manage Server. Viewing with list, info, and help doesn't — anyone can check what's set up. Each server can have up to 30 autoresponders at once.
